Presentation by Joe Kovaleski speaking on queen rearing.
Joe has been keeping bees for 16 years and is currently hoping to overwinter 60 hives. Joe teaches beekeeping to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4H. Joe is an EAS Master Beekeeper, West Virginia Master Beekeeper, Certified Ohio State Beekeeper, EAS Director for Ohio, VP of Tri-County Beekeepers, Inc., Sec/ Treasurer of the Jefferson County Beekeeper’s Assn, and Ohio State 2008 Beekeeper of the Year. Joe is currently the Crossroads Region coordinator for the Ohio State Beekeepers Assn queen rearing project, and a member of the West Virginia Queen Producers Assn raising queens in the northern panhandle.
